State of the Art Data Center
We own and operate our data center in Jackson, which we have carefully designed to ensure that no component or connection is a potential single-point-of-failure. We have redundant Internet connections, redundant air conditioning systems, and redundant electrical power to ensure maximum performance and uptime. Our facilities are on a strict maintenance and testing schedule to verify the integrity of all systems on a routine basis.
Redundant High Speed Connectivity
Our carrier-neutral core network is powered by redundant Cisco routers, which we have custom configured for BGP4 intelligent routing. This provides your site with the fastest path possible, as well as instant failover making certain that even if one of our provider circuits goes down, our Internet connectivity is still maintained and your website stays online. We provision bandwidth and connectivity from multiple providers, including AT&T and Level3. These providers are set up on physically diverse paths to ensure server connectivity without interruption.
Backup Electrical Power
The data center does not rely upon the local power grid to guarantee uptime. To ensure that all servers, monitoring equipment, and infrastructure are fully protected during a power spike or interruption, our data center utilizes APC uninterruptible power supplies for each server. If a power outage were to last for more than 30 seconds, our standby Guardian natural gas generator will automatically start, providing extended power for servers, Internet connectivity, security, cooling and fire suppression systems.
Redundant Cooling Systems
Operating a data center full of servers requires that we manage dissipation of heat to keep systems working at maximum efficiency. We employ a state-of-the-art cooling system that keeps the temperature and humidity in our data center optimized no matter what's happening in the outside world. We operate dual independent cooling systems, with dual standby systems, which allows us to shut down a single system for maintenance, without concern.
We maintain an early warning fire detection system which monitors both temperature and air quality in order to warn of a potential fire before it turns into a real flame. If however a true fire were to erupt, our data center is protected by a state-of-the-art early detection Kidde FM-200 clean agent fire suppression system. FM-200 is a people-safe, environmentally-friendly gas that leaves no residue to damage sensitive equipment or software. This fire suppression system rapidly catches a fire in its incipient stage before it has an opportunity to grow or cause significant damage.
Security and Monitoring
Access to our data center is tightly controlled through electronic badge keys, physical locks, and closed-circuit video surveillance cameras. Access by non-authorized personnel, clients and vendors is by escort only. All consoles are password controlled. To ensure optimal uptime, our NOC is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
